Your data on this iPhone

Your lock credential is stored in this iPhone’s Keychain. Settings, battery readings and diagnostic events stay local. The app does not request your location and contains no advertising or analytics features.

Apple Watch

If you choose Apple Watch setup, the verified lock credential is copied to the paired Watch using Apple Watch Connectivity and saved in that Watch’s device-only Keychain. Your account password and login token are not copied. The Watch can unlock locally without the iPhone or internet. Removing or replacing access on iPhone invalidates the Watch copy when the devices next communicate; an offline Watch cannot receive removal. You can remove its key directly in the Watch app.

Signing in to BLACK X

Sign-in sends your account and a derived password value directly to BLACK X over HTTPS. The app does not save your password. BLACK X handles the request under its own privacy policy. After setup, release happens locally over Bluetooth.

Sharing diagnostics and removing data

Diagnostic data leaves your iPhone only when you choose to share it. It contains times, states and signal values, not account details or keys. Remove lock from this iPhone deletes local access and monitoring. Delete diagnostic events separately in Diagnostics. Your BLACK X account remains unchanged.

Privacy

Battery alerts are local notifications. You can disable them in Settings. These alerts do not use a push server.
