What do I need?
A compatible BLACK X RockSolid U-lock, an authorized BLACK X account and an iPhone with Bluetooth. The lock is not included. Sign in, select your lock and complete a successful manual release first. You can then enable Unlock on return.
How does automatic release work?
Walk clearly away from the bike and remain outside the configured proximity for at least 30 seconds. On the next detected return, a sufficiently strong, stable signal triggers one release attempt. At the beep, turn the knob within six seconds. The app cannot tell whether the shackle is physically open or closed.
How do I adjust proximity?
Open Set up proximity and take one measurement beside the bike and another at your preferred position. Apply the suggestion when ready. Diagnostics also offers a threshold from −90 to −35 dBm: −80 accepts a weaker signal than −55. Signal strength is not an exact distance; your pocket, body and surroundings affect it.
Why does it not open immediately?
Check Bluetooth permission, the successful manual release and the Auto-Unlock switch. The app must first detect a qualifying departure. Weak radio conditions or iOS can delay reconnection. Do not force-quit the app; after restarting the iPhone, unlock it and open the app once. Connection status alone does not describe the physical lock state.
Do I need internet?
Internet is needed to sign in and load the lock credential. After setup, release uses the saved credential directly over Bluetooth. The original pairing stays intact.
When does the battery reading update?
After a successful release, without extra battery queries. In Settings, you can enable local alerts below 50, 40, 30, 20 and 10 percent and allow iOS notifications. The display and alerts use the last reading; Focus and notification settings may affect delivery.
How do I report a problem?
Open Settings → Diagnostics & calibration. Tap Mark problem now when it happens, then Share diagnostics. The file contains states, times and signal readings, not passwords or keys. Also note whether the phone was in your pocket and the screen was locked. support@kleido.style (Bike Auto Unlock).
